Emily Jane Ayton TRAGHEIM
b: 1891
d: 23 JUL 1989
Biography

Emily was a fine singer, who was often mentioned in the pages of the Niagrara Falls Gazette. For example, on Monday, Dec 20, 1926, the Gazette reported on a concert at First Presbyterian Church, Niagara Falls: “Miss Emily Tragheim sang a solo at the service. Miss Tragheim has a soft, mellow contralto voice and her rendition of ‘No candle was there, and no Fire,’ by Liza Lehman, was delightfully presented.” This was less than a year before her marriage to James Lewis.
